Liver Burn:
Toxicity of paints and solvents:
When using industrial products, pay heed to any labeled safety warnings. Note that U.S. and Canada label warning requirements differ. If you are using a product imported from the U.S.A., the label may not be disclosing all of the health hazards associated with that product. Pay particular attention to words like 'cancer', 'teratogenic', 'ovaries', and 'convulsions'. Decide for yourself if
you need to grow an extra arm. Dizziness, blurred vision, numbness, tingling sensation, brain damage, loss of co-ordination, loss of consciousness, 'may damage the ovaries' have been seen on the labels of paint and related supplies. Maybe you didn't notice. Maybe it's because of the small print that warnings are funneled into. 'The large print giveth -- the small print taketh away' -- Tom Waits / Step Right Up.
Food for thought: one would almost think that some of the above references were to alcohol, yet there are no similar warnings on alcohol products. i.e. that drinking may lead to blurred vision, falling down and loss of consciousness.
Odd, that.
One day, liquor distillers may find themselves in a situation similar to that of the tobacco companies with respect to health problems. In the meantime, we have MADD (mothers against drunk driving).
