Fabulous:
Fathers Against Boom-boom Unless Liquored or Unduly Stimulated.
Why was it that the moms took a stand on drunk driving?
Because all of the dads are too busy driving around swinging alcohol-enhanced business deals in order to support the moms in the fashion to which they are accustomed?
Single moms with too much time on hand?
Or is it that there is no movement that yet involves dads because of the ho-hum acronym that it would spawn -- (yet another) FADD.
This spring, there was a knock on my door from a young man who, as it turned out, was soliciting for MADD (Mothers against drunk driving). Coincidentaly, being a little impaired at the time, I thanked him for coming over to my place, sheer out of the blue like that, in order to congratulate me for staying home in my condition and for neither endangering my life nor others by drinking and driving. Presumptuous of me though, to think that a solicitor for MADD would actually congratulate me for not going out and driving: he didn't thank me; nope! He only had his hand out.
Everybody has their hand out.
I think he should have given me something for staying home!
Sad to say... upwards of 80% of charitable donations get sucked up wicked up in administration.
Where is the efficiency?
So what that donations are a write off -- the money still has to be earned before it can be given away.
Why not give a homeless person a loonie rather than ten bucks to charity?
Things that make you go hmmm:
its a win-win for everyone.
